Electroacoustic Experimenter

//experimentale Speaker//

Inspired by the Martenot diffusers and Pierre Schaeffer work, this object pushes the experimenter to create a direct acousmatic performance by drawing from textures and sound objects at the very moment they are generated. The various magnetic, electromagnetic and aerial capture tools allow to explore and mix acoustic fields of several dimensions, but present at the very place where the sound will be modulated. In this way, it is a tool for ambient creation (all potential sources surround the instrument).

Here, the musical performance is done by the manipulation of the different sensors rather than by the loudspeaker itself; it is no longer just a reproduction system, but the also a tool for modulating sound and therefore a musical instrument; by stretching the speaker, you can modifies its resonance proprieties, thus modifying the qualities of the sound thus created.

Designed in a modular/portable/autonomous way, this instrument pushes to capture the ambient sound flow and modify it by playing with its physical feedback device (by projecting the sounds on strings and reinjecting it into the speaker) and has an interchangeable filter.
